Were seeking a passionate and driven individual to join our Hospitalist Medicine Division as a Physician9 who is eager to make a meaningful impact on the health of our community!

Opportunity Details                      

• Position Type: 5-1.0 FTE
• Night Shift Schedule:
• Each hospital is staffed overnight with teams of 2-5 physicians and 1-2 APPs, with overlapping coverage from 1600-0200.
  • Ann Arbor: 2100 - 0700
    • Three physicians provide coverage at Ann Arbor from 0200-0700.
  • Chelsea: 2100 - 0700
    • Independent coverage required at Chelsea and Livingston from 0200-0700
  • Livingston: 1900-0700
    • Independent coverage required at Chelsea and Livingston from 0200-0700
  • Day Shift Schedule: 0700-1900
  • Typical 7 on 7 off
  • Location: Opportunity to select two of the three locations listed:
    • Chelsea Hospital
      • Average census of 12-16 patients per physician per shift. The ICU is closed.
    • Trinity Health Ann Arbor
      • Average census of 14-16 patients per physician each shift. The ICU is closed. 
    • Trinity Health Livingston
      • Average census of 25-30 patients per physician each shift. The ICU is open with an Intensivist on duty Monday to Friday with afternoon rounds.

Requirements

• Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• State of Michigan License
• BLS and ACLS certified
• Hospitalist Medicine experience preferred

Duties & Responsibilities

A typical shift may include:

• Collaboration with other health care professionals in providing direct inpatient care
• Monitoring and management of acute and chronic conditions
• Respond to clinical changes and deteriorations
  • Livingston: Overseeing Code Blues
• Complete accurate clinical documentation and ensure appropriate coding and billing compliance
• Complete up to 8 admissions in a shift
• Supervise APPs for admissions and cross coverage issues
