Pediatric Hospitalist – Staten Island University Hospital

Cohen Children’s Northwell Health is seeking a full-time board eligible/board certified Pediatric Hospitalist at Staten Island University Hospital. We offer an evidence-based, rewarding clinical practice in a collegial unit staffed 24/7 by Pediatric Residents and advanced care practitioners. Candidates will enjoy working in our recently opened state-of-the-art Gruppuso Women and Newborn Center (30 private rooms and 4,000 annual deliveries) and our future new inpatient pediatric unit which is currently in development.

• Participate in developing clinical protocols
• Supervising trainees in our ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program
• Opportunities to participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a collaborative team of four Pediatric Hospitalists covering both newborn nursery and inpatient pediatrics. Our 20-bed inpatient pediatric unit is supported by all pediatric subspecialties, as well as pediatric general surgery, orthopedics, trauma, otolaryngology, and ophthalmology. Pediatric intensivists cover our 4-bed PICU. Labor & Delivery is covered by our Level 3 NICU and 24/7 in-house neonatologists. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, along with an academic appointment at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell commensurate with experience.
