Description
A federally qualified health center in southern Illinois with multiple locations is adding a Family Medicine Physician for a Faculty teaching position. You will be part of a team-based approach providing high-quality compassionate care to your patients.About the opportunity:
- Faculty teaching position
- Mainly outpatient with about 8 weeks of inpatient per year
- 4 half day clinical sessions per week with average patient census of 10-12 per session
- Dedicated time for scholarly work and academics
- Obstetrics including vaginal deliveries. No c-sections
- Call is 1:4
- This site has 4 Family Medicine Physicians as well as OBGYN, Pediatrics and behavioral health
- Athena EMR
Compensation and benefits:
- Base salary and robust benefits package
- Medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401k retirement plan with 4% match, vacation, personal days, sick days, malpractice insurance through FTCA, CME time and allowance, and more
- Commencement bonus
- Loan repay through NHSC
Community/Location:
- Located in southern Illinois within 25 miles of St. Louis
- Enjoy biking, hiking, fishing, boating, golfing or enjoying one of the largest state parks in the state
- Population of 25,000 people
- 3.5 hours to Indianapolis, 4 hours from Chicago, 5 hours to Nashville
