Family Medicine Hospitalist in Southeast Nebraska
You'll step into a high-need inpatient role where your work makes an immediate difference for a community that relies on local access to care. This Family Medicine-trained Hospitalist opportunity in Southeast Nebraska provides robust clinical support, modern diagnostic resources, and a highly structured scheduling model. Practice Overview
- You'll join a small hospitalist team. This is a daytime role.
- Critical access setting with a typical daily census around 16 adult patients (acute/obs/swing bed mix)
- APP float support available multiple days per week to help with coverage and flow
- EMR: Meditech Expanse; broad in-house diagnostics including CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, and 24/7 lab
Schedule
- Block schedule: about 1 week per month (Tuesday through the following Monday)
- Day shift hours: 7:00a-6:00p (11-hour shifts), adult-only
- Flexible living arrangement, no requirement to reside locally; onsite housing may be available, along with a travel stipend.
Compensation & Benefits
- $182/hour for a 7-day block of 11-hour shifts; call-back hours paid at the same $182/hour rate
- Sign-on bonus negotiable; travel stipend; 1099 is considered
- Malpractice with tail fully covered; license reimbursement available
- 1 week PTO and 1 week CME plus $5,000 allowance; 403(b) with match (up to 4%); medical/dental/vision/life; PSLF-eligible site
Candidate Requirements
- MD/DO required; Board Certified preferred (Board Eligible considered for new graduates)
- Comfort managing adult inpatient medicine in a critical access environment
- Team-first mindset with willingness to provide occasional nighttime support when needed
