Join the Western North Carolina Community Health Services (WNCCHS) team to provide integrated, trauma-informed, "whole-person" care within a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model. Our mission-driven Community Health Center is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide comprehensive, patient-centered primary care, including HIV specialty services, to underserved and vulnerable populations. As a clinician at WNCCHS, you will provide full scope primary care across the lifespan, manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and behavioral health, and deliver integrated HIV specialty care. You will serve as a clinical leader, collaborating with a high-performing interdisciplinary team of physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, therapists, dentists, and care management/ support teams.
Compensation & Exceptional Benefits
Base Salary: $102,000 – $125,000
Incentive Plan: Quarterly bonuses up to $20,000 per year

- NHSC Loan Repayment Program/ NC Loan Repayment Program: We are located in a medically underserved area that may qualify you for significant Federal National Health Service Corps and NC State Loan Repayment Program.
- Provider Incentives: Eligible for the state High Needs Service Bonus incentive program (not contingent on loans).
- 403(b) Retirement: Savings plan with employer match.
- CME Allowance: $3,000 per year for certifications, licensing fees, and continuing education.
Work/Life Balance:
- Schedule: No weekends or holiday work required.
- Time Off: 11 Paid Holidays + 2 Floating Holidays.
- PTO: 156 hours accrued in your first year (based on 40 hours weekly).
- Insurance: Employer-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and employer-paid life insurance.

Requirements
Qualifications
Education: Graduation from an accredited Master’s degree program (NP or PA).
Licensure: Current North Carolina license, DEA, and BLS certification (required).
Eligibility: Must be Medicaid and Medicare eligible
Experience:
- 3+ years of primary care provider experience.
- Previous FQHC or outpatient medical office experience (preferred).
- HIV Specialist certification (preferred).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish and/or Russian (preferred).
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume panel with compassion and empathy.
